Wellington Management atinge participação de 5,07% no capital da BR Malls

SÃO PAULO – A BR Malls enviou o seguinte comunicado ao mercado:

“Rio de Janeiro, 20 de junho de 2012 – BR MALLS PARTICIPACOES S.A., companhia
aberta com endereco na Avenida Borges de Medeiros n. 633, 1o andar, na Cidade e
Estado do Rio de Janeiro, inscrita no CNPJ sob o n. 06.977.745/0001-91
(“BRMALLS”), vem, em cumprimento ao art. 12 da Instrucao CVM n. 358/02,
comunicar que, no dia 20 de junho de 2012, recebeu da Wellington Management
Company, LLC (“Wellington Management”), com sede em Congress Street 280, Boston,
Massachusetts, nos Estados Unidos, a informacao de que:

(i) no dia 19 de junho de 2012, as participacoes societarias detidas pelo
Wellington Management alcancaram, de forma agregada, 22.959.553 (vinte dois
milhoes, novecentos e cinquenta e nove mil, quinhentos e cinquenta e tres) acoes
ordinarias de emissao da Companhia, representativas de 5,07% do capital social
da Companhia;

(ii) o objetivo das participacoes societarias acima mencionadas e estritamente
de investimento, nao objetivando alteracao do controle acionario ou da estrutura
administrativa da Companhia;

(iii) nao foram celebrados, pelo Wellington Management, quaisquer contratos ou
acordos que regulem o exercicio de direito de voto ou a compra e venda de
valores mobiliarios emitidos pela Companhia.

Wellington Management Company, LLP (“Wellington Management”), a limited
liability partnership validly existing under the laws of the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts, USA, headquartered at 280 Congress Street, Boston, Massachusetts,
02210, USA, hereby informs BR Malls Participacoes S.A. (the “Company”), for the
purposes of compliance with Section 12 of CVM Ruling 385/02, as amended by CVM
Ruling 449/07.

Wellington Management is registered as an investment adviser with the United
States Securities and Exchange Commission under section 203 of the Investment
Advisors Act of 1940, as amended and acts as discretionary investment manager on
behalf of various separate accounts (the “Accounts”), that hold an interest in
shares of the Company. The Accounts do not act as a group nor do they act in
concert with respect to the interest in shares. Wellington Management acquired
the interests in shares for the Accounts in its capacity as discretionary
investment manager to, and solely for the benefit of, the Accounts, and the
interests were acquired solely for investment purposes. The shares are
registered in the name of the Accounts according to their respective holdings.

Wellington Management, as the discretionary investment manger of the Accounts,
hereby informs, that as of 19 June 2012, the Accounts hold, in the aggregate, a
total of 22,959,553 shares issued by the Company. This represents 5.07% of the
shares outstanding of the Company.
